Have you ever heard that phrase? Well it’s often true but it’s also because you don’t do the small details as well.
Whenever we do a refurb our aim is not to touch that property for another 10 years.
Since it’s easier for ourselves to have no maintenance to deal with, maintenance issues take up the majority of our time (the tooing and throwing between tradesman, landlords and tenants can take days, literally!).
Also maintenance can cause tenants to be unhappy and results in costs our landlords didn’t expect.
Our aim is to have happy tenants and landlords – then we’re happy! 😀
So we always have a schedule of work for any refurb job, showing every tradesman what to do, where and when…it’s important to project manage this way since corners can get cut!
